In short
- Booking a load is a binding agreement with the broker at the posted price and terms.
- We don't issue rate confirmations. The posting and the booking are the agreement.
- Prices are all-in. Lumper terms are on the load.
- Free for carriers. Brokers add $100 of posting credit by card. Each load after the first 25 takes $2. Credit does not expire, and what is left is refunded when you close your account.
The full terms
Version 2026-11-01
- Who agrees. Brokers agree to these terms when they post a load. Carriers and owner-operators agree when they book one. Using the board means accepting these terms.
- Booking is binding. When a carrier books a load, that acceptance is a binding agreement between the carrier and the broker for the load, at the posted all-in price and on the posted terms: pickup and delivery times, equipment, load type, requirements and lumper terms.
- No rate confirmation from us. Honest Load Board does not issue rate confirmations. By using the board, the broker and the carrier agree that the load posting and the booking record are their agreement. Neither side may change the price or terms after booking without the other's written agreement.
- All-in prices. The posted price includes fuel surcharge. If a load needs a lumper, the broker states it on the load, including who pays.
- Equipment. The carrier brings what the load lists. Dry van: load straps and a clean trailer. Reefer: load locks (load bars), a clean trailer, and a unit that runs −10°F when the load asks for it. Flatbed and step deck: tarps, winch straps rated at 3,500 lb working load limit or more, a winch bar, and chains and binders when required.
- Arrival. A carrier may book a load only if the truck can reach pickup with its travel time plus 1 hour to spare.
- Rush loads. A load marked Rush pays a premium over the regular price for its lane.
- Fees. The board is free for carriers and owner-operators. A broker’s first 25 loads post free; after that, brokers pay $2 for each load posted. This is a posting fee, not a brokerage fee or commission.
- Vetting. Carriers need active operating authority, a USDOT number, and auto liability and cargo insurance on file. Brokers need active broker authority and a $75,000 broker bond or trust.
- What we are. Honest Load Board is a load board by Ricerca Labs. It is not a broker or a motor carrier. It does not arrange transportation, set prices or handle freight payments.
- Fair use. Auto-clickers, bots and scripts are not allowed. Automated clicking pauses booking, and repeated use can lose access to the board.
- Sample loads. Loads marked Sample load are examples. Booking one is a simulation and creates no agreement.
